Pre-K Karate (Ages 3-5)
Our Pre-K program introduces little ones to martial arts through games, basic techniques, and fun exercises. Builds concentration, coordination, listening skills, and early confidence. Perfect first step – many advance to youth/family classes.

Youth Martial Arts (Ages 6-12)
Develops character, discipline, and well-rounded skills with Okinawan karate striking + jujitsu grappling/throwing. Age-appropriate self-defense applications in a supportive group.
Benefits: Improved focus, fitness, respect; path to AAU competition.
Family Martial Arts
Our signature program – any age trains together! Parents join kids (or vice versa), with family discounts. Integrates karate, jujitsu, weapons, joint locks, ground fighting – balanced for all, including beginners/women.
Benefits: Stronger family bonds, shared progress, practical self-defense.
Karate
Traditional Okinawan Shorin-ryu focus: powerful strikes, kata (forms), balance, and kumite (sparring). Builds strength, speed, and mental fortitude for all levels.
Benefits: Core foundation for self-defense and competition.
Jujitsu
Japanese-inspired techniques: throwing, joint locks, submissions, ground control. Emphasizes discipline, respect, and practical defense. Progressive for safe learning.
Benefits: Real-world grappling skills, confidence in close-range situations.
Weapons - Okinawan Kobudo
Learn the art of ancient weaponry in our Weapons Program. We teach the Okinawan Kobudo weapons: Bo (Staff), Sai (Trucheon), Tonfa, Kama (Sickle), and Eku (Oar). We also teach Jo (Short Staff), and Batto-do ( Japanese Sword). Students must have some experience before starting weapons training.
AAU Karate Team
For dedicated students – state, national, international tournaments (including overseas). Sport kumite, forms, weapons. Families often compete together!

Martial Arts Camp
Intensive week-long sessions (summer): Karate, jujitsu, Arnis, weapons, self-defense, sport kumite. Fun, focused skill-building.

Garimot Arnis Training
Garimot Arnis Training (GAT) is a Filipino martial art that focuses on teaching the use of the hand, knife, stick, and all weapons as one integrated system where the techniques flow together seamlessly. Sensei Dave Roth is a certified Guro (teacher) in GAT. All FKA Advanced students learn Garimot Arnis Training as part of our Self-Defense Training. The founder of GAT, Gat Puno Abundio S. Baet, teaches annually at Florida Karate Academy.
